seabisciut is good. and i read hiroshima last year for summer reading… it was pretty descent it was about the american bombing in hiroshima and its about some of the survivers stories and stuff… i think its in 6 peoples point of views its pretty interesting i think.

I had to read Malcolm X and Angela’s Ashes, and I didn’t like either of them. Most people that I talked to liked Angela’s Ashes though, so maybe you should give it a try. I’ve heard that The Glass Castle is really good, and I’m going to read that next I think. I’ve never been much of a fan of Kurt Vonnegut after I read Slaughterhouse Five, but my friend read In Cold Blood and said it was really good.
I doubt this is going to help at all, but I hope it does.

The only one of the above I’ve read is The Glass Castle, which was a little frustrating for me when trying to understand or care about the characters (or people, as it is non-fiction…) The writing seemed a little cold.

Give Seabiscuit a try. I don’t like horseracing or non-fiction and I _still_ just loved it. Surprising quick read and not complex or literary–just a great story, well told.

PS Seabiscuit is the best book on the list in my opinion although Into Thin Air is a close close second. Have fun!
